MollyLeikinMolly-Ann Leikin

Molly-Ann Leikin (rhymes with bacon) defected from Canada with her baritone ukulele during a 59 degree below zero blizzard.  She was hired by LA County to hunt down the alleged deadbeat dads of welfare babies, to encourage these men to pay child support.  While neither Elvis, Ringo, Bob Dylan, Barry Manilow, nor Kenny Rogers were biologically responsible for the kids, they did help Molly get into the music business. A staffwriter for ten years at Almo (A & M), Interworld and Chappell Music, Molly got her songs recorded by Cher, Tina Turner, Anne Murray, Billy Preston, Placido Domingo, Yitzi Ya Ya and the Yo Yo’s, plus hundreds of other pop and country artists.  An Emmy nominee, Molly has written themes and songs for over five dozen TV shows and movies, including “Violet”, which won an Oscar.  Her song, “An American Hymn” is a favorite of the Santa Barbara Symphony.
