Yoga with Andreya von Waldenfels Marks

Andreya von Waldenfels-Marks R.Y.T. was born in Germany as daughter of a baron. She received a very high education in aristocratic private schools, which culminated in her journey to India. There she learned yoga at the source in 1971. Since then she has trained and taught with uncountable teachers all over the world. Andreya managed her own Yoga studio in Munich before moving to Northern California in 1976 where she created a family. She continued teaching classes in schools and community centers, in local inns and as private therapy. Through all these years she deepened her own knowledge and practice. Andreya is certified in TRI yoga, an Indian inspired style created by an American woman, Kali Ray, which suits her very nature. She has studied Yoga therapy; a healing style that uses restorative poses exclusively.

In Santa Barbara, through the Chamber of Commerce, she realized that most of the work for this beautiful city and its inhabitants is done behind doors, in front of computers. She designed a style of yoga that can be learned right at the desk, balancing hours of sitting still with movement and conscious breathing. This way of practicing yoga at your desk reduces stress, prevents chronic injuries and creates happier people.
